New Land Acquisition Signs to be Posted on Preserved Sites

Land Acquisition SignSigns will soon be appearing on properties preserved through Environmental Infrastructure Financing Program loans. To date, more than 100 sites have been protected as open space with the total land area exceeding 2,760 acres.

Preserving open space protects land from development, safeguards our water supplies and other natural resources and provides outdoor recreational opportunities. Lands purchased through the program cannot be developed, however, they may be used for passive recreational activities, such as hiking, fishing and horseback riding.
