Trust Presents Environmental Achievement Award to Egg Harbor Middle School

Egg Harbor Township - The New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust recently presented its Environmental Achievement Award to the Egg Harbor Middle School. The award recognized David Crawford and his students' Adopt-a-Stream Catawba Project.

Mr. Crawford, a science teacher at the school, developed the program to teach students the importance of protecting New Jersey 's water resources and to help them understand the link between human activities and the environment.

Since its inception, the project has grown to include neighboring school districts and Richard Stockton College of NJ. It has also attracted the attention of the television show, Animal Planet and N.J.N. Public Television's, Classroom Close-UP.
